parts of a rainforest
There are four different layers of a rainforest. The layers are the Emergent layer, the Canopy, the Understorey and the Forest Floor. The Emergent layer is the top layer and gets the most sun. The Canopy is the layer under the Emergent layer and gets lots of sun still. The Understorey is the 2nd layer from the ground and under the Canopy. The Forest Floor is the bottom and is the layer that gets the least amount of sun. You would find lots of birds and butterflies in the Emergent layer because they love sun and being up high. You would find most of the animals in the Canopy because of all its fruit, warm sunlight and the dense layer of trees it produces. In the Understorey you would mostly find is shrubs, palms, mushrooms and fungi and all those things. Last but not least is the Forest Floor, the Forest Floor homes most of the things you would find in the Understorey but it gets worse because of all the gross plants all the things that have lived down there have probably rotted to death. Those are all the layers in the rainforest.
